Welcome to your Isle of Wight Cancer Support Centre

Our Isle of Wight Cancer Support Centre was extended and refurbished in 2020, following a successful fundraising appeal on the Island.

Based in Newport, Isle of Wight, the centre offers a range of free services for people affected by cancer, including professional counselling and complementary therapies. We have three treatment rooms and a space for meetings and activities.

When you arrive, you will be greeted with a warm welcome from our team of staff and volunteers. The centre is a relaxing, non-clinical environment, where we want you to feel yourself, around people who have lived experience of cancer.

See below for more about the activities we offer on the Isle of Wight.

To apply for our services, see our how to refer guidance or contact our centre.

45 Years of Wessex Cancer Support

Since 1981, you have helped us be there to support local people affected by cancer. We are a pillar of support for people across Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, ensuring no one in our community has to face cancer alone.

Throughout 2026, we will be celebrating 45 years of supporting local people affected by cancer. We’ll also have a number of ways for you to learn more about what we do and how you can help support services continue in the future.

Become a Support Volunteer

Support volunteers are special people who offer practical and emotional support to adults at all stages of their cancer journey. We have around 15 active volunteers at the Isle of Wight centre, with many involved with us for over ten years. They listen without judging and are able to maintain client confidentiality. Our support volunteers are essential to help us provide the support our clients’ needs.
