Using this website

This website is run by Wessex Cancer Support. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • Zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate the website using just a keyboard
  • Navigate the website using speech recognition software
  • Listen to most of the website using a screen reader
  • Access alternative text for all images
  • Access subtitled versions of all video content

We’ve also made sure the text on the website is easy to understand and complies with guidelines set by the Plain English Campaign.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Artswork is committed to making its website and content accessible.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Issues with PDFs and other documents

Some of our older PDF downloads may not be accessible if you are using a screen-reader. Different formats of these are available on request. We will ensure all PDFs published by Artswork* after December 2020 meet accessibility standards, or have an alternative version that can be accessed via our website.

Issues with images, video and audio

Where videos are embedded in the site, we do not currently have text transcriptions describing the action taking place on the screen. We are working to ensure all Artswork-produced videos* on our site have a text transcript available by December 2020 at the latest.

*These standards apply to all content on the website produced by Wessex Cancer Support. Content created by other organisations, or links to external sites, may not follow these standards.
