Our Chandler’s Ford Cancer Support Centre provides practical and emotional support to local people affected by cancer.
Based in Chandler’s Ford town centre, our cancer support centre aims to help and empower you through your cancer journey with support that’s tailored to your needs.
When you arrive, you will be greeted with a warm welcome from our team of staff and volunteers. At Chandler’s Ford, we have two therapy rooms, a counselling room and a space for activities, which include yoga, tai chi, and ‘bring your own craft’.
We also have an informal lounge space providing a relaxing, non-clinical environment, which you are free to use. See below for more about the activities we offer.

45 Years of Wessex Cancer Support
Since 1981, you have helped us be there to support local people affected by cancer. We are a pillar of support for people across Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, ensuring no one in our community has to face cancer alone.
Throughout 2026, we will be celebrating 45 years of supporting local people affected by cancer. We’ll also have a number of ways for you to learn more about what we do and how you can help support services continue in the future.

The Hampshire Macmillan Citizens Advice Service provides free, impartial and confidential advice to individuals and families who have received a cancer diagnosis and can offer information on a range of issues including, welfare, money matters, employment and housing advice.

Become a Support Volunteer
Support volunteers are special people who offer practical and emotional support to adults at all stages of their cancer journey. We have around 15 active volunteers at Chandler’s Ford, with many involved with us for over ten years. They listen without judging and are able to maintain client confidentiality. Our support volunteers are essential to help us provide the support our clients’ needs.

Accessibility
There is a flight of stairs leading to the centre, however, we have a stairlift, which can hold up to 225kg, to include the weight of an average wheelchair. Unfortunately, it cannot accommodate a mobility scooter. The centre has a small wheelchair, which can be used for your convenience.
Free parking is available to the rear of the centre.

The centre is on the first floor of 91 – 95 Winchester Road, located above the takeaway food outlets. We also have a retail shop on Winchester Road in Chandler’s Ford, at Units 13 & 14, The Mall.
