Welcome to your new Bournemouth Cancer Support Centre

Our Bournemouth Cancer Support Centre has now moved to 16 Poole Hill, Bournemouth BH2 5PS and is open from 4 November 2025! Thank you for your patience while we’ve made the move.

The Bournemouth Cancer Support Centre is a relaxing, non-clinical environment, open to anyone impacted by cancer.

Whether you’re recently diagnosed, receiving treatment, adjusting to life after cancer, supporting someone with cancer or bereaved, we are here for you.

In our new premises on Poole Hill, we have two therapy rooms and a counselling room, as well as a relaxing lounge space. When you arrive, you will be greeted with a warm welcome from our team of staff and volunteers.

The nearest carpark for the Bournemouth cancer centre is West Hill. For more information, visit the BCP Council’s website.

It’s really important you feel yourself, supported by people with lived experience of cancer. See below for more about the activities we offer in Bournemouth.

Since 1981, you have helped us be there to support local people affected by cancer. We are a pillar of support for people across Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, ensuring no one in our community has to face cancer alone.

Throughout 2026, we will be celebrating 45 years of supporting local people affected by cancer. We’ll also have a number of ways for you to learn more about what we do and how you can help support services continue in the future.

Become a Support Volunteer

Support volunteers are special people who offer practical and emotional support to adults at all stages of their cancer journey. They listen without judging and are able to maintain client confidentiality. We have around 15 active volunteers at the Bournemouth centre, with many involved with us for many years. We are always open to hearing from people who would like to help us.

If you’re interested in joining our team, find out more about becoming a volunteer at Wessex Cancer Support.
