Your cancer support centres
At any of your Cancer Support Centres, we can offer you practical and emotional support at a time when nothing seems to be in your control. All your Cancer Support Centres have been developed with your needs in mind; you can take as much time as you need. Our dedicated team is committed to offering free support for as long as you need it, away from a hospital environment. Family members can access all of our support services too, and there is no need for a Doctor’s referral. Get in touch with your nearest Centre and make an appointment.
If you were wondering what it’s like visiting one of our support centres, we created this video with the help of the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce:
Free cancer support
We appreciate that visiting a Cancer Support Centre for the first time might be a little bit daunting, but you can be assured of a warm welcome and a safe, calm environment. Anything you wish to talk about will be held in complete confidence, whilst our trained staff and volunteers assist you in choosing which support will suit you best.
At your local support centre, you will be warmly welcomed by our volunteer befrienders. All of our volunteers are trained to listen in a non-judgemental way and give you that much-needed space to talk about your concerns and needs. You can discuss your situation, medical treatment and any particular concerns you may have, as well as finding out which therapies and services will be most beneficial to you. Together, you will work out the best possible support for you and book you in for your first session.
We don’t just help those who have been diagnosed; we also provide support for family members so they can join you on your first visit or any future visit.
