Places are now sold out for our 2025 Swim for Hope event. To be on our reserve list please contact fundraising@wessexcancer.org.uk with your full name and contact telephone number.
Swim for Hope is a 1.3-mile cross-Solent swim, starting at Hurst Point in Hampshire and finishing at Colwell Bay on the Isle of Wight.
The swim will take place on Saturday 19th July with an estimated start time of 4:45am (time to be confirmed, tide and weather dependant). Swimmers must have experience in either open water or sea swimming prior to the event date.
The swim has been hugely popular in previous years and raises funds for our Isle of Wight services which support thousands of Islanders affected by cancer every year.
Practical and emotional support is provided by the Isle of Wight’s wellbeing centre in Newport, while our two free minibus services transport Island patients to their hospital appointments in both Southampton and Portsmouth. Each bus provides more than 10,000 passenger journeys for cancer patients annually.
