Rachel says:

“Hello, I’m Rachel, Chief Executive of Wessex Cancer Support. Many of you will be celebrating Christmas this month, and it can also be a time for reflection. Everyone’s experience of cancer is their own, but we know many people can feel isolated, anxious or depressed and that it can be particularly hard during the festive season. If this is a tough time for you, please click here to see how we can help.

“During the past year, we’ve continued to provide local and personalised support for 2000 people affected by cancer. Our priority in 2025 will be to develop our services in line with people’s needs – delivering through our four cancer support centres and online. We’ll be introducing a range of courses and talks so that we can reach even more people.

“The economic climate has continued to be tough for charities this year. We rely on donations to fund our work and we’re so grateful to everyone who’s supported us in 2024. If you’d like to support us in any way; whether that’s to donate, volunteer, take part in our fundraising events or organise your own, we’d love to hear from you.

“However you’re spending the festive season, all of us at Wessex Cancer Support send our very best wishes.”
