Our Chandler’s Ford support centre is holding an open day between 2pm and 7pm on Wednesday 2nd October.
If you or a loved one is affected by cancer, or you work in cancer services, please drop in to find out about the support available. It’s an informal day with no pressure to sign up for anything.
Donna Stroud, the manager of our Chandler’s Ford support centre says she understands taking the first steps to cancer support can be daunting:
“Living with cancer can be tough and you may be experiencing thoughts and feelings you’re not used to. Maybe you’d like to chat with someone outside of your main circle of family and friends. Our open day is an informal opportunity to come along and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake, and find out about the support available.
You’ll be made to feel very welcome and under no pressure to sign up for anything. Whatever you’re going through and however you’re feeling, we’re here to support you in a way that’s right for you.”
Our support centre provides free, local and personalised support to anyone living with cancer at any stage. Anyone can simply drop in and chat with our qualified befrienders, arrange counselling and complementary therapies or join wellbeing activities and support groups. We have a private treatment room and a welcoming lounge.
The open day is at 91-95 Winchester Road, Chandler’s Ford, SO53 2GG (opposite the Methodist Church). Free parking is available. The support centre is accessed via a flight of stairs and there is a stairlift available.
If you can’t make the open day but would like to find out more, call 023 8051 6576 or email chandlersford.centre@wessexcancer.org.uk
