Our Vision and Mission
Wessex Cancer Trust’s ambition is a future where everyone affected by cancer receives person-centred care that empowers them to live well with and beyond cancer.
Through supportive care and information, we seek to improve the emotional and physical well-being of people affected by cancer, within their locality.
We recognise that everyone’s experience is unique and cancer affects every area of life, for both the person living with cancer and their loved ones. Support, both emotional and physical, is at the heart of everything we do.
We have spent the last 40 years devoting ourselves to being a trusted source of cancer information for local people. From prevention and early detection, to living well with and beyond cancer, we’re committed to providing clear, accessible information for everyone.
Our door is always open. Living with cancer is difficult, it can feel isolating and result in a loss of confidence. We understand it can be difficult to stay positive and maintain working, or a social life. We are a community of local people who understand how you feel and will be right by your side.
We know cancer takes a lot. We want you to understand that being you before, during and after cancer is always enough. Whether it’s learning to accept what is, meeting new people or getting back to exercise, we are here to help you thrive.
