Be part of our friendly team of Fundraising Volunteers, make a real difference and be part of the Wessex Cancer Support community.

Fundraising events and activities are at the heart of Wessex Cancer Support, providing the vital resources that allow us to continue our work supporting people affected by cancer. From community challenges to local events, every effort raises crucial funds while bringing people together in a spirit of compassion and connection. By volunteering with our fundraising teams, you’re not just helping to raise money, you’re helping to create a stronger, more supportive community for everyone facing cancer.

We have a range of roles within fundraising from on the day event support from cheering on our participant and setting up events to meeting and greeting, selling raffle tickets and bucket collections. We also have office-based volunteers who contact supporters and research effective ways to promote our fundraising activities.

Volunteering with our fundraising team is very flexible and can range from one-off support to a weekly commitment and everything else in between.

We are always looking for new volunteers, so if you want to give back to your community, interested in a career in fundraising, or simply would like to help out, then please do get in touch.

As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will receive training, build your communication and interpersonal skills, and make new friends while making a genuine difference for your local community.
