£5.00 – £85.00Walk For Hope 2021
Join us for our flagship event, Walk for Hope, in our 40th Birthday year on Sunday 26th September 2021
Our flagship fundraising event, Walk for Hope, returns to Burley Park in the New Forest in real life on Sunday 26th September and we’d love you to join us for a beautiful walk whilst raising vital funds for local people living with cancer.
The peace and beauty of the New Forest make it a fitting setting to give hope to friends and family undergoing cancer treatment, to remember loved ones and to support everyone living with cancer.
There are three scenic routes to choose from, covering five, ten or 20 miles. You can walk alone or with friends and family and at your own pace, making this the perfect event for supporters of all ages. Like last year (when Covid-19 meant we couldn’t come together in the New Forest), you can also do the Walk for Hope your way, from home, if you prefer.
Our fifth Walk for Hope will be a poignant day; both because we turn 40 this July and because we’ll be able to come together again after last year’s virtual event. If you’d like to dress up in 80s clothes to help us celebrate we’d love that too! And there’ll be a well-deserved slice of birthday cake waiting for you as you cross the finish line!
And if walking isn’t your thing, there are plenty of volunteering opportunities available – from laying out signage to handing out water and snacks.
All routes start and finish at Burley Park and marshals will help to keep you on track.
All participants will receive:
-An official Walk for Hope t-shirt to proudly wear on the day
-A medal to celebrate your achievement
-A training guide and fundraising pack to help you reach your goal
-An event guide containing important information for the day
-Some snacks and treats to help keep you fuelled up
Registration:
-£25 for adults
-£15 for under 16s
-£85 for a team of four adults
-£5 for a dog
Sponsorship:
All individuals are asked to pledge a minimum sponsorship target which helps local families living with cancer:
-£100 per person for the five mile route
-£150 per person for the ten or 20 mile route
The event is being sponsored by Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, Drive Personnel and Brewin Dolphin.
