Hugh Dennis helps raise £13,000 to support local people affected by cancer

Mock the Week star, Hugh Dennis, brought his trademark comedic sparkle to Eastleigh’s Concorde Club when he hosted our annual Big Quiz on Thursday 5th October. The event raised £13,000 to support local people affected by cancer.

Forty-three tables of six competed for the top spot, which was won by Romsey Round Table.

Hugh said:

“It was great to host the Big Quiz for Wessex Cancer Support. We enjoyed six rounds of questions and everyone had a good giggle whilst raising an amazing amount of money to support people locally affected by cancer. It was my pleasure to be involved, and thank you to everyone who came out to support the event.”

All the money raised for Wessex Cancer Support at the event will be used to provide practical and emotional support to anyone affected by cancer in Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Hugh will be returning to host our 2024 Big Quiz on Thursday 3rd October.
