Our drive-in cinema returns on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December – and this year it’s moving to the Needles Landmark Attraction in Totland Bay, featuring an even bigger screen!
Six films picked by the Isle of Wight community in an online survey will be screened over the weekend. They are:
-Saturday 3rd December: Elf (PG), How The Grinch Stole Christmas (PG), Love Actually (15)
-Sunday 4th December: Home Alone (PG), Arthur Christmas (U), The Holiday (12A)
Laura Haytack, our Regional Fundraising Manager, says:
“Our drive-in cinema has become a tradition for families on the Island and is a great way to start the festive season! This year, we’re excited to be moving to a new location and showing films on a much bigger 9.2-metre x 5.3-metre LED screen. So, cosy up with your loved ones, watch a classic Christmas film and know that you’re raising money to support Islanders affected by cancer. We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone and with tickets selling fast we’re confident it will be another sell-out success.”
Marino Zanti, General Manager at The Needles Landmark Attraction, says:
“We’re so honoured to be hosting Wessex Cancer Support’s Christmas Drive-In cinema this year. It’s an amazing charity that does so much valuable work locally and we can promise everyone a fantastic evening.”
This year’s event is sponsored by Ascensor, Cherry Godfrey, Glanvilles Damant Legal Services, Hose Rhodes Dickson and WRS Systems. All the money raised will help Wessex Cancer Support support Islanders affected by cancer.
If you’d like to advertise your business or Christmas event on the big screen at the event, please contact Laura Haytack at laura.haytack@wessexcancer.org.uk
