We’re making a final plea for donations as we enter the last week of our crisis appeal. We announced in December that we were launching the appeal to raise £600,000.
King of the Jungle and former Portsmouth FC Manager, Harry Redknapp, who stepped forward as our patron at the start of appeal, said:
“In December I said I was going to be Wessex Cancer Trust’s patron because I could see how much they mean to people who need support when they’re living with cancer. I went down to their Bournemouth support centre and saw what an amazing job they do to help people who are struggling. Everyone has been making a fantastic effort to raise money and keep the charity going but the clock’s ticking and we still need more. I’m asking people to dig deep and make a donation so as many people as possible can get the support they really need.
Our Trustees will meet again at the beginning of February to evaluate the success of the appeal and will then make a further statement.”
