Rachel Billsberry-Grass

Chief Executive

Rachel has over 25 years experience in the not for profit sector working with a wide range of charities and arts organisations, including St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Breast Cancer Care and Carers Trust. Her particular expertise is in fundraising and marketing and she has led initiatives with companies including Tesco, Transco and the People’s Postcode Lottery which have raised millions of pounds. She is a Trustee of The Change Foundation and is a volunteer mentor with the Institute of Fundraising. “I’m so excited to join Wessex Cancer Trust as Chief Executive and I’m looking forward to meeting our clients and ensuring that we continue to provide the support and help that they need in the future.”

Colette Cowan

Head of Services

“I’m Colette and I am responsible for anything and everything to do with the services we offer to those in our communities impacted by cancer. It’s something we will have all been impacted by in some way and I’ve already been blown away by the support that’s offered through our six wonderful support centres. At the moment any opportunity outside of work I’m spending time with my young family, walking, swimming, playing in the garden or ‘negotiating’!”

Sally Hillyear

Head of Fundraising and Communications

“Hi, I’m Sally and I look after the wonderful team of fundraising and marketing experts and make sure we are raising as much as money as possible to help people locally with cancer. I have 27 years of fundraising experience and a passion to help people so it’s an honour to work for Wessex Cancer Trust. I’m also a trustee of a local charity. Outside of work, I’m a keen theatre-goer and love musicals.”

Georgina Challacombe

Interim Finance Director

“I’m Georgina (George) and am delighted to have recently joined the team here at Wessex Cancer Trust as Interim Finance Director. As well as keeping a keen eye on the numbers, I also look after the business support areas including IT, HR and generally keep the cogs turning in the background to allow our talented team to concentrate on what they do best. Since completing my training to become a qualified accountant 18 years ago, I have enjoyed a diverse career in a variety of different environments from public services to privately owned estates. I love living by the coast and enjoy making the most of it with long walks by the seafront.”

Mark Ellis

Head of Retail

“Hi, I’m Mark and I head up a small dedicated team of Retail Managers, Assistant Managers and volunteers from our 5 fantastic shops! Im originally from a hospitality background, but 15 years ago joined the world of coffee as Manager for 2 of the big coffee chains. A stroke a few years later led me to charity retail which eventually brought me to Wessex! In this role, no 2 days are the same. I’m constantly amazed by the variety and quality of the donations and the generosity of our supporters. When not at work, I enjoy spending time in my rural home with my 2 dogs and 3 cats!”
