Stories And News Latest News New head of fundraising and communications for Wessex Cancer Trust We're delighted to welcome Sally Hillyear as our new head of fundraising and communications. Sally brings 27 years’ fundraising management experience to Wessex Cancer Trust, having led teams at Autism Hampshire, Help the Aged, Fire Fighters Charity and most recently Breast Cancer Haven. She will manage a team of 12 and be responsible for designing and executing Wessex Cancer Trust’s fundraising and events programme, with a strong focus on building relationships with major donors, community initiatives and individual giving. A keen theatre goer, Sally lives in Southampton and is married with four children. Speaking about her new role, Sally said: Wessex Cancer Trust makes a huge difference to anyone living with cancer in our local communities, so it’s an honour to be joining them. It’s a challenging time for all charities, but we’ve got ambitious plans to ensure we’re able to support the growing number of people living with cancer in the most personalised way, so I’ll be working extremely hard to make sure our fundraising can make this vision a reality.
