We need daredevils to hot foot it to Sandbanks Beach in Poole this Bonfire Night and walk over hot coals to raise money for local families living with cancer.

After a full safety briefing, walkers will be led over ten metres of coal heated to 1200 degrees Fahrenheit (648 degrees Celsius) by certified instructors, UK Firewalk.

Bournemouth-based drumming band, Samba Panache, will heat up the atmosphere for the evening, and in a fitting finale, participants will be able to watch fireworks light up the night sky across Poole Bay after their walk.

Maria Tidy, our community manager, says:

This is an adrenaline-fuelled event which requires an open mind and a determination to take up the challenge. All the money raised will go directly to providing free and local support to anyone living with cancer, so we wouldn't want anyone to get cold feet! If you think you're a good match for this, we'd love to hear from you.

Registration is £20 per person, or £35 for a pair, with a sponsorship goal of £80. The event takes place outside Sandbanks Cafe on Tuesday 5th November at 5.30pm.
