This May is National Walking Month, and Wessex Cancer Trust is celebrating by inviting you to join our Walk for Hope! During National Walking Month, people all over the country will be challenging themselves to walk for 20 minutes or more each day in May, a great opportunity to train for our sponsored walking event.

Walk for Hope is a sponsored walking event which takes place on 4th June 2017. Participants can opt to walk for 10 or 20 miles through the scenic New Forest with the rest of the walking team, passing wild ponies and beautiful landscapes. Wessex Cancer Trust will provide toilets, first aid, entertainment and refreshments throughout the walk, along with a Walk for Hope t-shirt and training advice.

Participating in Walk for Hope will provide essential resources for those who are affected by cancer. As well as raising funds for a great cause, there are a number of personal benefits to taking on the challenge. Regular walking can help to obtain a healthy weight, increase happiness, manage symptoms of diabetes and heart disease, and prevent a number of other health problems.
