Founded in 2005, Quostar currently offers a wide range of strategic business and technical IT consulting services. Quostar COO James Stelfox says:
“As a company we wanted to support a local charity and for us Wessex Cancer Trust was an obvious choice. Cancer is an awful disease which affects so many people at some point in their lifetime, so we’re very proud to support a charity which does so much fantastic work in the local community, providing support not only to those affected but their loved ones as well.
It’s been a pleasure to support Wessex Cancer Trust over the past six years, from sponsoring their highly-enjoyable Air Show Hospitality Day to raising funds at our annual Christmas Charity Lunch, and we will continue to raise funds and raise awareness of the incredible job the Trust does.”
A number of Barclays employees are long-standing supporters of Wessex Cancer Trust and continue to volunteer and fundraise at events.
“I am very proud to be supporting Wessex Cancer Trust, knowing that funds raised are spent locally to help and support families affected by cancer. Since the passing of my dad from cancer, I have looked to raise funds through the Barclays pound for pound matching scheme, which matches the funds I raise personally for the charity up to a maximum of £1,000 per year. Having seen the local centre in Bournemouth, it’s great to see how the funds are being put to great use.” – Michael Stevens.

We have facilitated fundraising for the Daisy Bus and developed special fares for patients travelling with us. We strongly believe that supporting such community initiatives is an important part of being a responsible business and we look forward to helping the Wessex Cancer Trust in the future.”
“Cancer is something that affects so many people, it has touched a number of our employees, families and friends. As our way of returning our thanks for the excellent support their families have received, we wanted to raise money for a charity that makes a difference to those affected by cancer. Wessex Cancer Trust provides outstanding support to the local community and it’s something we felt really strongly about supporting.”
“This year we decided to hold a coffee morning to raise money for Wessex Cancer Trust. I was motivated to raise money & awareness, but from a business point of view, for me, this was an opportunity to meet potential customers; with various ‘touchpoints’ along the way:
✅ delivering invitations
✅ welcoming them through the door
✅ thanking them for coming and telling them how much we had raised
A lot of effort went into the morning and from our coffee and cake, we raised £322. But the added business benefits far outweighed just handing over a bag of cash. We now wave to our friends and share goods and services – we feel part of the community. AND we opened 6 new accounts that day and 5 months later, only yesterday, we secured another.
So, when Maria Tidy asks you to walk 5k – don’t shy away. Get that tent or pair of walking boots and emblazon it with your company logo and don’t be embarrassed to market your company and products from the rooftops! This is a real business opportunity folks.”
We’re small, creative and commercially minded with the ability to shape a partnership that suits you and your business.
