Cancer has affected probably all of us at some point in our lives.

For me, last month, it took my lifelong best friend who was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and devoted friend to so many.

To all of us who have lost someone so close, I will be joining some dear friends of mine to walk 5k around the beautiful city of Winchester in the hope to raise some money for this worthwhile charity.

I know that donations seem to always be asked for this or that charity, but if you could donate even a couple of pounds I would be forever grateful.

Thank you

Wessex Cancer Trust believe that there should be help and support available to everyone living with cancer, when and where they need it.

Community is at the heart of Wessex Cancer Trust – we put services in local communities so people affected by cancer have somewhere to go at a time when they most need support.

A diagnosis can have a huge impact on the entire family. That’s why we’re committed to providing free support to anyone affected by cancer for as long as they need us. Our six cancer support centres are safe places for people to receive the emotional, practical and physical support they need.

From coffee mornings, to craft groups and wellness classes, people come together to meet people who understand what they are going through. We’re proud that our centres are a safe community for anyone affected by cancer.
