I have suffered the heartbreak of losing both my grandfathers and 2 very close friends to cancer but I have also experienced the wonder of having seen my father successfully undergo treatment for bowel cancer. I firmly believe that without the amazing work carried out by Wessex Cancer Trust many more people would suffer the heartbreak of losing someone close!

Wessex Cancer Trust believes that there should be help and support available to everyone living with cancer, when and where they need it.

They have six cancer support centres, which cover Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and the IOW. Their centres have specialist counsellors to help deal with the emotional impact of cancer and complementary therapies to improve wellbeing, help with pain management and increase self-confidence. The charity also provides a range of support and activity groups along with specialist children’s services and helps 8,000 local people each year.
