Most cancer patients on the island need to, at some point in their cancer journey, travel to a mainland hospital for treatment. The average journey mileage is 42 miles there and back including the ferry journey.
We are asking you to challenge yourself to complete 42 reps per day of your chosen exercise for 42 consecutive days in 2024 and raise funds for local people affected by a cancer diagnosis. Squats, push-ups, sit-ups, lunges – you can decide your exercise! Once you’ve completed your 42 days, we’ll send you a certificate. If you can reach £100 sponsorship through completing your challenge you will also receive a medal too!
Register today and start a JustGiving page so your friends, family, neighbours and colleagues can show their support by donating.
Wessex Cancer Support provides free and safe transport via our Daisy Buses to Islanders and their loved ones who need to travel to Southampton General Hospital and Queen Alexandra Hospital for treatment or appointments. This service wouldn’t be possible without the support and donations we receive from the local community. With every rep you do, you’re helping support local people affected by a cancer diagnosis.
