Diane Cutler, Chair of Trustees, and Rachel Billsberry-Grass, CEO, of Wessex Cancer Support, said:
“We are extremely disappointed by the ruling of the Judge to ask Paula Tribbeck, who stole more than £90,000 from Wessex Cancer Support, to pay back just £1.
“This theft, which dates back to 2019 and before, has been deeply upsetting for us all. Paula was a trusted member of staff and she deceived us by stealing funds which should have been used to provide our vital emotional support to people with cancer and their loved ones.
“Since Paula’s theft was discovered, we have reviewed all of our internal procedures to minimise the risk of this ever happening again.
“We are very grateful to our donors and volunteers who continue to offer Wessex Cancer Support their generous support.”
