The effects of cancer can be felt in several ways, in addition to just physical health.
One of these is the substantial financial strain to you and your family due to increased costs and potential income loss. Seeking financial advice as early as possible can safeguard you against financial worries spiralling out of control. Taking action allows you to put more focus on your overall health and well-being.
Wessex Cancer Trust has been partnering with Macmillan and Citizens Advice, which means a benefits advisor visits the Centres once a month. We have already received excellent feedback from clients using this service in our Centres. These financial support specialists guide managing rent and mortgage payments, council tax, energy bills, financial planning, access to pensions and insurance and one-off grants. Please contact your nearest Support Centre for more information.
