Oyster Financial Planning, aka SO45 Online, presented a cheque for £5,200 to our Waterside Cancer Support Centre which was raised at its annual Charity Golf Day in July.

They said:

Waterside Cancer Support Centre in Hythe is a really special place. It has a specialist team which provides emotional and physical care to people living with any type of cancer. Befriending, counselling and complementary therapies, such as aromatherapy, yoga, reflexology, and Reiki, are provided as non-clinical treatments for patients and their families. The Centre really is a friendly and calming place where nothing is too much. Anyone is welcome to just drop by or make an appointment.

SO45 Online has raised £41,000 at its annual Golf Day over the past seven years, with a large proportion going directly to the Centre. The rest has been distributed to other charities and good causes within the SO45 postcode. In total they've raised £76,000 for local charities. When SO45 online was originally set up, the goal was to raise 100k in 10 years. With lots more hard work and future projects planned, they hope to make this target.

Paul Adams won the SO45 Paul Brogan Memorial Trophy this year. The day was a huge success despite the relentless rain and everyone who took part and volunteered carried on until the end. Next year’s golf day will take place on 19th June 2020. If you would like to get involved, please contact Donna at [email protected]

SO45 Online would like to say a huge thank you to all of their sponsors who continue to support them each year. These include Michael & Donna Osman of Oyster Financial Planning who are SO45 Online, Warren Burch at Sea Mariner, Martin at The Lovely Little Café, Chris at Christopher Hoare Tree Surgeons, Shaun at Holbury Tool Hire, Mark & Angela at Ebeneezers, Habib at Be Be’s Café, Harry Hunter Window Cleaning, Nick at The
