Isle of Wight Radio, Beacon Magazine and Wessex Cancer Trust IW Isle of Wight Radio and the Beacon Magazine have teamed up with Wessex Cancer Trust to organise Cycle for Cancer, a cycleathon to raise the final funds needed to create a new cancer centre for the Island.

On March 13th, Islanders will be taking part in a 12-hour cycling challenge at the radio station in Newport's Dodnor Park to help the charity raise the final £6,000 of its £100,000 Building for the Future appeal.

Some familiar faces will be getting involved, including members of the Isle of Wight Radio Breakfast Show team, Olympic sailor Shirley Robertson and Level 42's Mark King. The hospital, police and fire service will also be represented, alongside several Island businesses and organisations.

Please support their efforts by donating!

Cycle for Cancer will take place on static bikes at Isle of Wight Radio between 7am and 7pm on March 13th.

If you would like to help us fundraise by taking a 30-minute slot to cycle on the day please contact [email protected]
