Countdown to My Wessex Way: 41 days 15 hours 27 mins 26 secs

 

This virtual challenge has been inspired by our beautiful countryside and the long distance path – the Great Wessex Way which runs through our region. At 165 miles long (or 266km) it’s the perfect distance to cover during the month of January. You chose where, when, and how you will complete the mileage, which on average is about 5 miles a day (or 10,000 steps).

Sign up as an individual, as a pair or in a team/family to complete the distance by January 31st 2018.

You can track your steps or mileage with an app such as Strava, Map My Run or a pedometer on your mobile phone. If technology isn’t your thing, no problem, just print out and use the Walking Tracker Sheet.

 

My Wessex Way is a month-long walking challenge to get your 2018 started off on the right track. Get active, encourage friends and family members to join you and enjoy being active this January.

Thanks to advances in cancer prevention, early detection & treatment, more people than ever before are surviving the disease. However, until there's a day when everyone wins the battle, there is still much more to do. So we need you to brush off your walking boots and show cancer who's boss!
